Training School Closure: Update September 2008
D & L
Tractor Trailer Training School, located in
Bridgeport, Connecticut, has been ordered to close based on a
court order issued on May
6, 2008. To coordinate
information between our Department and the Office of the Attorney General,
students who have not completed their training at D & L
should register
below. Please see this
announcement for more information, or call the Education & Employment
Information Center at (800)842-0229.
Tuition Refunds. Should you wish to request a tuition refund,
please complete this
application. Note
that it must be notarized and contain documents to substantiate your claims.
Students who already have registered with the Department do not need to register
to request a refund; pre-registered students will automatically be mailed a copy
of this application.
We will contact you if we need more information, and will
begin processing your request as soon as it is received. Because we must
verify the legitimacy of all refunds, the more documentation you submit
–
as described on the application instructions

the sooner we can expedite your refund. The average time for processing
refund requests, which must be reviewed by an independent committee, will be 3–4
months. We appreciate your patience.
