Report Measuring College Performance Topic of Legislative Forum

HARTFORD, March 15 - Connecticut’s first report documenting how well its public colleges and universities perform on more than 90 standards addressing student learning, access and cost will be released at the General Assembly’s Education Committee’s Forum on Accountability to be held on Monday, March 19 at 9:00 am. in Room 1E of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

The Connecticut Department of Higher Education has produced the report in cooperation with the state’s colleges and universities as required by legislation passed last year. The report is the state’s first attempt to measure higher education’s performance using a common set of measures as well as comparisons to colleges of similar size and purpose across the country. Officials from the Department of Higher Education will present the report’s findings to the Education Committee at Monday’s Forum.
