Several Connecticut colleges have made special arrangements for students who
wish to transfer from Gibbs. To explore these further, please click on the
colleges listed below and contact the counseling staff at Gibbs College to
initiate transfer.
Briarwood College
Briarwood College will
accept Gibbs transfer students and will accept their credits as it would
from any nationally accredited institution. Interested students should contact the Briarwood Admissions Office (800) 952-2444. You
will be assigned to an Admissions Director who will help you through the
transfer process.
Charter Oak State College
Charter Oak State College
has a
transfer agreement with Gibbs College. Under this agreement, Charter
Oak will accept up to 90 credits in transfer from Gibbs College students.
Charter Oak State College’s admissions office staff is prepared to meet with
Gibbs students interested in transferring.
Goodwin College
Goodwin College will
consider
accepting all credits earned by Gibbs students provided that students
complete applications in their planned course of study and meet residency requirements.

Housatonic Community College
Housatonic Community
College is interested in speaking with students about transferring from Gibbs
College to its campus in Bridgeport. To address questions about transfer
credits, Housatonic is reviewing program-to-program assessment, particularly in
the business programs area. If you are interested in transferring to
Housatonic Community College, contact Elizabeth Roop, Dean of Academic Affairs,

Northwestern Connecticut Community College
Northwestern Connecticut
Community College is committed to admitting as transfer students those who are currently enrolled in Gibbs'
animation and business
programs.

Norwalk Community College
Norwalk Community College
has already admitted several transfer students from Gibbs College. To address questions about transfer credits, Norwalk
is exploring alternate methods, such as its “credit of life experience
program,” and program-to-program assessment. If you are interested in transferring to Norwalk Community

Post University
Post University has
several transfer agreements with Gibbs College. If you are interested in
completing your education as a full-time student on campus, contact Jay Murray,

Saint Joseph College
The College’s Advising
Center is working with Gibbs College to evaluate Gibbs courses for
transfer. Saint Joseph College can be of most help with students enrolled in

University of Bridgeport
The University regularly
admits Gibbs College students who wish to transfer including those who wish to
take classes in the University’s Stamford Center because of its proximity to
Norwalk.
