The Connecticut Commission on Community Service (CCCS) is pleased to announce the awarding of federal funds to support new and continuation AmeriCorps*State programs to start in the Fall of 2011 for a 10-12 month program cycle. Educational institutions (local school districts, intermediate school districts, colleges and universities, etc.), local government entities, state agencies, faith-based organizations and non-profit organizations that have their 501(c)3 status and have been in existence for at least 3 years are eligible to apply for Connecticut AmeriCorps*State funding. The 2011-12 AmeriCorps programs focus will be to engage members in full-time or part-time service activities in the areas of education, healthy futures and veterans and military families. The entire grant process will be electronic. No paper filing of proposals will be considered. As forms and information become available, they will be accessible as links from this page.
