PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 5, 2009

The Connecticut Commission on Community Service (CCCS) is pleased to announce the availability of federal funds to support new Connecticut AmeriCorps programs to start September 2009 for a 10-12 month program cycle. 

Educational institutions (local school districts, intermediate school districts, colleges and universities, etc.), local government entities, state agencies, faith-based organizations and non-profit organizations that have their 501(c)3 status and have been in existence for at least 3 years are eligible to apply for Connecticut AmeriCorps*State funding. 

AmeriCorps programs must engage members in full-time or part-time service activities in the areas of education, public safety, health and the environment.

The entire grant process will be electronic.  No paper filing of proposals will be considered.
