AmeriCorps Notice of Funds Available 2008-2009

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE: May 16, 2008

The Connecticut Commission on Community Service (CCCS) is pleased to announce the availability of federal funds to support new Connecticut AmeriCorps programs to start September 2008 for a 10-12 month program cycle.

Educational institutions (local school districts, intermediate school districts, colleges and universities, etc.), local government entities, state agencies, faith-based organizations and non-profit organizations that have their
501(c)3 status and have been in existence for at least 3 years are eligible to apply for Connecticut AmeriCorps*State funding.

AmeriCorps programs must engage members in full-time or part-time service activities in the areas of education, public safety, health and the environment.

The entire grant process will be electronic. The final proposal must be entered into the eGrants system. No paper filing of proposals will be considered.
