CCCS Commission Members|
By Executive Order, the Connecticut Commission on Community Service consists of between 15 and 25 members, appointed by the governor, to serve three-year terms. Individual appointments to the Commission represent various areas of expertise expressed in the implementing regulations of the National and Community Service Trust Act. Appointments of commissioners should be no more than 50% plus one member from the same political party, and to the extent possible, should be balanced by race, ethnicity, age, disability and gender characteristics. Not more than 25% of the Commission members may be employees of state government. Additional state agency representatives may sit on the Commission as non-voting, ex-officio members. |
