The Connecticut Commission on Community Service (CCCS) and the Department of Higher Education are proud to honor volunteers at the annual Connecticut Higher Education Community Service Awards. 

The 2009 awards were presented to the five award recipients by Commissioner of Higher Education Michael P. Meotti on Wednesday, April 8th at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford. 

The Community Service Awards will continue to be a vehicle for us to tell the story of service from a student, student group, and faculty/staff perspective.  We are committed to recognizing the tremendous impact that Connecticut's college campuses have on communities.  Read about the continuing service campuses throughout Connecticut are providing to communities - download the 2009 Community Service Awards Book.
