• Part-time older members (55+) are provided with
  enriching training and the opportunity to develop civic
  pride while working with elementary school children

• Improves environment through horticultural
  restoration projects and recovery of blighted
  properties

• Full-time and part-time members develop civic pride
  while working with members of the community

Serving: Hartford

• Provides one-on-one literacy tutoring, classroom
  tutoring, and after-school and summer school support
  to seven Hartford elementary schools

• Full-time, part-time and summer members attend
  bi-weekly trainings and workshops, focusing on
  professional and personal developmment.

Serving: New Haven area

• Provides youth development and educational
  enrichment programs for children ages 7-12, through
  after-school programs and a summer camp

• Part-time and summer members work as counselors,
  receiving training and support in the areas of
  professional development, career and college
  preparation and civic engagement

Serving: Bridgeport

• Promotes and educates the community with public
  safety and fire prevention, in addition to installing
  security devices, which includes ten-year lithium
  battery smoke detectors, to enhance home security

• Part-time and quarter-time members reduce crime,
  violence and fear through community involvement

Serving: Middletown area

• Provides crisis intervention and support services
  through a live response hotline

• Full-time, part-time and quarter-time members receive
  training and become state certified to provide
  immediate crisis intervention to victims of sexual
  violence
