Council Data Systems Group
The "data working group"
will develop a vision and value proposition for a system spanning preschool,
K-12 and postsecondary education and training that will provide:
The group's work should address the types of data to be included, provide examples of information as defined above, describe how this information might be used by prospective users, and suggest some new "results-oriented" information that could be made available by September 1, 2010 to increase awareness of the value of this work among leadership groups.

Interoperability System Council
Through a Statewide Longitudinal
Data Systems grant awarded by the National Center on Education
Statistics at the U.S. Department of Education, the Interoperability
System Council (ISC) was established to develop a plan and pilot a
system for linking public K-12 and postsecondary education and labor
data together in order to provide education leaders with the timely
information they need to improve policy and practice to increase student
success. Members of this
group include representatives from the Department of Higher Education,
State Department of Education, Connecticut State University System,
Connecticut Community and Technical College System, University of
Connecticut, Charter Oak State College, and the Department of Labor.
