CONNECTICUT HIGHER EDUCATION COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS

At a Glance

 

The annual Connecticut Higher Education Community Service Awards will be held, Thursday, April 24, 2003, at 6:00 pm in the Old Judiciary Room at the State Capitol in Hartford.  These awards are to recognize sustained and continued community service in the higher education community completed between Fall (September) 2001 through Fall (December) 2002.

 

 

Important Dates:

  • January 10, 2003 - Luncheon from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm for Community Service Network Representatives at the Department of Higher Education, 61 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT 06105. RSVP by January 3, 2003 to Maria Lavandier (860) 947-1826 or [email protected]

  • March 14, 2003 - Nominations are due to the Department of Higher Education by the close of business.

  • April 24, 2003 - Community Service Awards at 6:00 pm in the Old Judiciary Room at the State Capitol.

                    Categories

  •  Individual Student Award

  •  Student Group Award

  •  Special Award
     

  •  Service must have been completed between Fall (September) 2001 through Fall (December) 2002

  •  Each Campus may submit (3) three nominations in the student or student group category and (1) one special award nomination.

  • Applications must be submitted electronically.  Once the application is submitted on-line, an e-mail copy will be submitted to your Community Service Network Representative for approval. Applications will not be considered complete unless it is approved by the Community Service Network Representative. Supplemental information, (i.e., the President’s endorsement letter) must be submitted to the Department of Higher Education by close of business on March 14, 2003. 

  • All award recipients will be submitted as nominees to the Daily Points of Lights Awards
