Advisory Committee on Accreditation 

This committee reviews proposals for new degree programs in Connecticut and makes recommendations to the Board of Governors concerning licensure and accreditation.  Serving on the ACA are 12 regular members and 12 alternates appointed by the Board of Governors to three-year overlapping terms. Members are drawn from both public and independent institutions and include two representatives of the public-at-large.

ACA Meetings

The ACA usually meets on the third Thursday of each month except for July and August at the Department of Higher Education's offices at 61 Woodland Street in Hartford. Meetings begin at 10:00 a.m. and usually end by noon. Meetings may be rescheduled depending on the number of agenda items.

The agenda for ACA meetings is ready one week prior to the meetings.
