December 2009

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes the Chairman to sign the contracts between the Board of Governors for Higher Education and both the Deputy Commissioner and the Commissioner.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits an undergraduate Teacher Preparation program, leading to initial certification in the following areas: Art Pre-K-12; Middle Grades (4-8): General Science, English, Spanish, History/Social Studies, Mathematics; Secondary Education (7-12): Business, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, English, Spanish, History/Social Studies, and Mathematics, to be offered by Albertus Magnus College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Global Studies, leading to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, offered by Albertus Magnus College for a period of three years, until December 31, 2012. It is further resolved that the College provide a progress report by December 31, 2011 describing an additional course in the program core that focuses on the impact of science and technology on globalization.  

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accepts the NEASC assessment and grant accreditation to the University of Bridgeport for a period of five years, until December 31, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, to be offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of three years, until December 31, 2012, provided that students may not matriculate into the program until pre-candidacy status has been achieved through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

November 2009

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the FY 2009 annual reports on Endowed Chairs on the basis of evidenced use of funds against statutory purpose.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the operating fund quarterly reports for the three-month period ending September 30, 2009, as attached by the University of Connecticut, University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut State University, Community-Technical College System and Board for State Academic Awards for submission to the Office of Policy and Management and the Appropriations and Education Committees.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the one salary adjustment and two title changes listed as noted in the staff report on file.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors accredits Lincoln College of New England as presented through the merger of Briarwood and Clemens Colleges, with a branch campus in Hartford, CT, until November 30, 2012.  It is also resolved that this accreditation is contingent on the continuing conditions that: 1) the College will immediately forward to the Department of Higher Education a copy of all findings and recommendations of the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and; 2) the College will provide copies of all correspondence related to the findings and recommendations upon request of the Department.  It is further resolved that the College will also provide progress reports upon the request of the Department of Higher Education’s staff as focused visits are scheduled with the CIHE in regard to the new campus in Hartford, increased online presence, and any financial information requests that may come forward from any of these visits.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the licensure of Bais Binyomin Academy for a period of 10 months until September 30, 2010. 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the licensure of Talmudic Institute of Connecticut for a period of 9 months until September 30, 2010. 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the authorization to place students in the educator preparation programs for the required field experience and clinical practice in Connecticut schools by Long Island University Westchester Graduate Campus, for a period of seven months, until June 30, 2010.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the authorization to place students in the educator preparation programs for the required field experience and clinical practice in Connecticut schools by Manhattanville College, for a period of seven months, until June 30, 2010.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the accreditation of The Graduate Institute for a period of 6 months until May 31, 2010.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education reaccredits St. Thomas Seminary for a period of one year until December 31, 2010.  It is also resolved that this reaccreditation is made with the understanding that the institution will forward to the Department of Higher Education a thorough self-study report as recommended by the Commissioner of Higher Education.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Exercise Science and Wellness, to be offered by Gateway Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Science, to be offered by Norwalk Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice and Human Security, to be offered by University of Bridgeport, for a period of three years, until November 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Technology, to be offered by the University of Bridgeport for a period of three years, until November 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Musical Theatre, to be offered by Western Connecticut State University, for a period of three years, until November 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis, to be offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modifications to the Associate of Science degree (A.S.) program in Computer Systems Technology, offered by Northwestern Connecticut Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation. 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Business Administration, converting concentrations into individual program areas including MBA- Global Financial Services; MBA- Human Resources Management; MBA- Small Business & Entrepreneurship; MBA-Specialized Business Program; MBA- Operations, each leading to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, offered by the University of Bridgeport, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

October 2009 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education endorses the 2009 annual report of the Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET) for the submission to the Education and Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committees of the Connecticut General Assembly.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Nursing Practice, leading to the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree (DNP), offered by Sacred Heart University, for a period of three years, until October 31, 2012. It is further resolved that the University will consider the suggestions from the evaluation team prior to programmatic accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Criminal Justice, leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, offered by the University of New Haven for a period of three years, until October 31, 2012. It is further resolved that the University will clarify their admissions standards and graduation requirements at the time of accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors accepts the NEASC assessment and grants accreditation to Central Connecticut State University for a period of five years, until December, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors accepts the NEASC assessment and grants accreditation to St. Vincent’s College for a period of five years, until December 31, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Music Industry, leading to an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, offered by Capital Community College for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Pathways to Teaching Careers, leading to an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, offered by Quinebaug Valley Community College for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Pathways to Teaching Careers, leading to an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, offered by Three Rivers Community College for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Health Science, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, offered by Sacred Heart University, for a period of three years, until October 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Financial Risk Management, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, offered by the University of Connecticut for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Radiologist Assistant, leading to the Master of Health Science (M.H.S.) degree, offered by the Quinnipiac University for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program, with a concentration in Illustration, offered by the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, leading to Certification in Secondary Education (6-12) with options in Mathematics, Spanish, and Biology, offered by Western Connecticut State University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited Master of Business Administration program to be offered online, leading to the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, offered by Albertus Magnus College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Teaching and Foundations into two separate programs by keeping the current title for non-certification and creating Secondary Education with Initial 7-12 Certification, each leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, offered by Fairfield University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited Applied Psychology with concentrations in Human Services Psychology, Foundations of Advanced Psychology, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology into individual programs, each leading to a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, offered by Fairfield University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

September 2009 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the accreditation of Gibbs College, Farmington for a period of six months from December 31, 2009 until June 30, 2010.  This extension is made with the understanding that Gibbs College will begin enrollments in the Business Office Administration and Fashion Design and Merchandising programs, each leading to the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree.  It is also resolved that the Board of Governors for Higher Education relicenses the Medical Assisting, Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program, as previously designated, to be offered at the Farmington campus, until June 30, 2010.  It is further resolved that the College will report on the progress of each of these programs in a full self-study as required by the Commissioner of Higher Education.  It is additionally resolved that the Farmington location is recognized as the main campus due to the continued teach-out at the Norwalk campus through December 31, 2009.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Master in Education (M.Ed.) program with concentrations in Teaching & Learning and Instructional Design, to be offered both on campus and online by Post University, for a period of three years, until September 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Educational Coach, leading to a Sixth Year Certificate (SYC), offered by Southern Connecticut State University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modifications to the Associate of Science degree (A.S.) program in Fire Technology and Administration, the Emergency Management Response Option, and the Emergency Management Response Certificate, offered by Capital Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.  These modifications include changing the name of the associate degree program to Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Labor Relations and Human Resource Management, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, offered by Eastern Connecticut State University, for a period of three years, until September 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Fine Arts with concentrations in Art History; Music; New Media; Studio Art, and Theatre into separate majors, each leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, offered by Fairfield University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves a modification of the accredited certificate in Religious Studies on-line, leading to a graduate certificate, offered by Hartford Seminary, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accepts the NEASC assessment and grant accreditation to Hartford Seminary for a period of five years, until October 31, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Communication, leading to the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, offered by Middlesex Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Therapeutic Recreation, leading to the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, offered online and on campus by Northwestern Connecticut Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Human Services, leading to an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, a Family Violence Intervention Option, a Human Services Certificate, and a Family Violence Intervention Certificate, offered at Tunxis Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accepts the NEASC assessment and grant accreditation to Western Connecticut State University for a period of five years, until September 30, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education extends the licensure of a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, leading to Certification in Secondary Education (6-12), with options in Mathematics, Spanish, and Biology by Western Connecticut State University, for a period of one month, until October 31, 2009.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the constituent unit operating fund reports for the nine-month period ending June 30, 2009, as reported by the University of Connecticut, University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut State University, Community-Technical College System and Board for State Academic Awards for submission to the Office of Policy and Management and the Appropriations and Education Committees.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves a six percent tuition increase for the Alternate Route to Certification program $3,975 effective with the ARC I – 2010 Summer Program.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the draft of the 2009 Affirmative Action Plan and authorizes the Commissioner to approve the final draft of the 2009 report for submission to the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities on or before October 15, 2009.

June 2009 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Civil Engineering, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, offered by Central Connecticut State University, for a period of three years, until June 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education relicenses the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and the Master of Business Administration/Technology Management programs, offered by the University of Phoenix in Norwalk, Connecticut, for a period of one year, until June 30, 2010.

RESOLVED:  that Gibbs College continues to provide the Department of Higher Education with quarterly progress reports that will include the following information: student enrollments and progress toward degree, by program; faculty and administrative employment, by program; and general administrative employment; financial aid disbursements; transfer arrangements and student transfers, by institution; and program “phase outs” as students complete their studies.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the licensure of the Pathway to Teaching Careers program, leading to the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, offered by Housatonic Community College, for a period of three years, until June 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Human Services, leading to the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, offered by Naugatuck Valley Community College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education reaccredits Paier College of Art for a period of two years, until June 30, 2011.  It is further resolved that the Board of Governors requires the College to submit progress reports to the Department as follows:

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the licensure and accreditation of a program in Network Systems, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, offered by the University of New Haven, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Theatre Arts, leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, offered by the University of New Haven, for a period of three years, until June 30, 2012.

May 2009 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the constituent unit operating fund reports for the nine-month period ending March 31, 2009, as reported by the University of Connecticut, University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut State University, Community-Technical College System and Board for State Academic Awards for submission to the Office of Policy and Management and the Appropriations and Education Committees.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education endorses the 2009-10 tuition and fee adjustments as presented.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Journalism, leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, to be offered by Central Connecticut State University, for a period of three years, until May 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Criminal Justice, leading to the Associate of Science (A.S.) degree, to be offered by Goodwin College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Early Childhood Education, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, offered by Mitchell College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Business Administration, with tracks in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation, leading to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, offered by Post University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits the online Master of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management, and Health Care Compliance Certificate programs offered by Quinnipiac University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a program in Public Relations, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, offered by Quinnipiac University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in online Biochemistry, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Latino Community Practice, leading to a Graduate Certificate, offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Nutrition offered on-line, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Women’s Studies, leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, offered by Saint Joseph College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the modification of the accredited program in Educational Leadership, leading to the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree, offered by the University of Connecticut, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

April 2009 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes the Chair to direct the Commissioner to sign the existing negotiated collective bargaining agreement with the Department of Higher Education’s bargaining unit upon advice of the Commissioner that the overall State agreement has been reached or, if not, our bargaining unit has asked to finalize the agreement.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses and accredits a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Sport Management, to be offered by Post University on- campus and online for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Aural Habilitation and Education of Hearing Impaired Children, leading to the Master of Education degree, offered by the University of Hartford, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Mechanical Engineering, leading to the Bachelor of Science degree, offered by Central Connecticut State University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education relicenses St. John’s University to offer a program in Philosophical-Theological Studies at St. John Fisher Seminary Residency in Stamford, Connecticut, until April 30, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes Springfield College to place students enrolled in the College’s educator preparation programs for required field experience and clinical practice in Connecticut schools for a period of five years, until April 30, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves a program modification of the accredited program in Art History, leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree, offered by the University of Hartford, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

March 2009

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education continues the accreditation of Gibbs College, and thereby the accreditation of the programs it offers, for a period of nine months, until December 31, 2009.  It is also resolved that this continuation of accreditation be granted only if Gibbs College continues to operate in Connecticut until this date; otherwise, if the College ceases operations before the end of this accreditation period, accreditation will terminate on the last day of the College’s operation in Connecticut.  It is further resolved that the College continue to provide the Department of Higher Education with quarterly progress reports that will include the following information: student enrollments and progress toward degree, by program; faculty and administrative employment, by program; and general administrative employment; financial aid disbursements; transfer arrangements and student transfers, by institution; and program “phase outs” as students complete their studies.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Cardiovascular Perfusion, leading to the Master of Health Science (MHS) degree, to be offered by the Quinnipiac University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a program in Biomedical Marketing, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, offered by Quinnipiac University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.  It is also resolved that the Board of Governors requires the University to submit a progress report by March 31, 2010, on the specificity and appropriateness of the curriculum.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Workforce Education and Development, to be offered by Southern Illinois University Carbondale at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton for a period of three years, until March 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education grants approval to the University of Massachusetts, Boston to place students in the programs of teacher of students with visual impairments, school psychology, and school counseling for the required field experience and clinical practice in Connecticut schools, for a period of five years, until June 30, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education endorses Connecticut’s 2009 accountability report for higher education and transmits it to both the Joint Standing Committees on Education and Higher Education and Employment Advancement.

 

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the 2009 Annual Report on the Board’s Strategic Plan to Ensure Racial and Ethnic Diversity in Connecticut Public Higher Education and transmits it to the Governor, the Connecticut General Assembly and interested parties.

February 2009

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education license a RN-BSN program, leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, to be offered by Goodwin College, for a period of three years, until March 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education license and accredit a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A.) through the New Dimensions program, at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, CT., to be offered by Albertus Magnus College, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education license a program in Education, leading to the Master of Science in Education degree, to be offered by Albertus Magnus College, for a period of three years, until March 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approve the move of Goodwin College and its educational programs to the newly-built Goodwin College River Campus, located at 1 Riverside Drive, East Hartford, Connecticut.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredit a program in Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health Sciences, leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree, to be offered by the University of Connecticut, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education license a program in Prosthetics and Orthotics, leading to the Master of Science degree (MSPO), to be offered by the University of Hartford, for a period of three years, until March 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education approves the constituent unit operating fund reports for the six-month period ending December 31, 2008, for the University of Connecticut, University of Connecticut Health Center, Connecticut State University, Community-Technical College System and Board for State Academic Awards for submission to the Office of Policy and Management and the Appropriations and Education Committees.

January 2009

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes the Commissioner of Higher Education to express the support of the Board of Governors for Higher Education to the Connecticut General Assembly for the change of mission and degree level to the Master’s degree level for Charter Oak State College.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education accredits a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, leading to Certification in Mathematics, Science, Spanish, English, and Technology Education, to be offered by Central Connecticut State University, for a period of time concurrent with institutional accreditation.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education licenses a program in Health Sciences, leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, to be offered by Goodwin College, for a period of three years, until January 31, 2012.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes Grand Canyon University to place students in educator preparation programs for the required field experience and clinical practice in Connecticut schools for a period of five years, until January 31, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, to place students enrolled in the University’s School Psychology program into required internships in Connecticut schools for a period of five years, until January 31, 2014.

RESOLVED:  that the Board of Governors for Higher Education authorizes the University of New Haven to offer the accredited program in Labor Relations, leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree, at an off-site location in Waterbury, Connecticut.
